Viewing Documents
RouteMate lets you store and access important documents right from the app. Whether it is a fuel receipt you uploaded or a company policy your fleet manager shared, you can find everything in the Documents section.
Accessing Your Documents
Section titled “Accessing Your Documents”- Open the Menu by tapping the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Tap Documents.
- You will see your documents organized into two categories.
Document Categories
Section titled “Document Categories”My Documents
Section titled “My Documents”These are documents that you have uploaded. This includes fuel receipts, photos, and any other files you have added through the app. You have full control over these documents.
Company Documents
Section titled “Company Documents”These are documents that your company or fleet manager has assigned to you. This might include safety manuals, policy updates, route instructions, or other important files. Company documents are managed by your organization, so you can view and download them but cannot delete them.
Previewing a Document
Section titled “Previewing a Document”To preview a document, simply tap on it in the list. The app will open a preview so you can see the contents without leaving RouteMate. For image files, you will see the photo directly. For other file types, a preview will be displayed if supported.
Downloading and Saving Files
Section titled “Downloading and Saving Files”If you need to save a document to your phone or tablet:
- Open the document you want to save.
- Tap the Download or Save button.
- The file will be saved to your device’s Downloads folder or Gallery, depending on the file type:
- Photos and images are saved to your device’s photo gallery.
- Other files are saved to your downloads folder.
Note: You may need to grant RouteMate permission to access your photo library or storage the first time you save a file. If prompted, tap Allow so the app can save files to your device.
Tip: Downloading a copy of important documents means you can access them even when you are offline or outside the app.
