Company Settings
Manage your company profile, activate features, and configure company-wide preferences for RouteMate.
Company Profile and Details
Section titled “Company Profile and Details”The company profile contains your organization’s basic information. To view or update it:
- Navigate to Admin > Company Settings from the main menu.
- Review and update your company details:
- Company Name — Your business name as it appears throughout RouteMate.
- Address — Your company’s primary business address.
- Phone Number — Main contact number.
- DOT Number — Your U.S. Department of Transportation number, used in ELD compliance records.
- MC Number — Your Motor Carrier number, if applicable.
- Time Zone — The default time zone for your company. This affects how times are displayed across the dashboard. Time zone cannot be changed.
- Click Save to apply any changes.
Note: Your DOT number is critical for ELD compliance. Make sure it is entered correctly, as it is included in driver logs and data transfers during roadside inspections.
Feature Activation
Section titled “Feature Activation”RouteMate offers a modular set of features that can be activated based on your fleet’s needs. To manage feature activation:
- Navigate to Admin > Company Settings.
- Find the Features section.
- Toggle features on or off as needed:

| Dispatch | Enables load and trip dispatch management, allowing you to assign loads to drivers and track delivery progress. |
| Fuel | Enables fuel tracking, fuel purchase records, and fuel-related reports. |
| Maintenance | Enables vehicle maintenance scheduling, service records, and maintenance alerts. |
| Geofence | Enables the geofence feature for creating virtual boundaries and tracking entry/exit events. |
| Speeding | Enables speeding detection, speeding events, and speeding reports (USA region only). |
| Activity Log | Enables the activity log for tracking user actions across the platform. |
| Safety Hub | Enables the safety hub with DVIR management, safety scores, and compliance tracking. |
Tip: You do not need to activate every feature right away. Start with the features that address your most pressing needs and add more as your team becomes comfortable with the platform.
Note: Some features may require additional hardware (for example, GPS devices for geofence tracking) or a plan upgrade. Contact RouteMate support if you have questions about feature availability.
Module Management
Section titled “Module Management”Modules represent the major hardware platforms that RouteMate supports. To manage modules:
- Navigate to Admin > Company Settings.
- Find the Modules section.
- View the status of each module:

| ELD | Electronic Logging Device module for HOS compliance, driver logs, and vehicle data. |
| GPS | GPS tracking module for real-time vehicle and asset location tracking. |
| Camera | Dashcam and camera module for driver safety monitoring and incident recording. |
Each module shows its activation status and the number of devices currently associated with it.
Company-Wide Preferences
Section titled “Company-Wide Preferences”Company preferences control default behaviors that apply across your entire organization:
- Navigate to Admin > Company Settings.
- Find the Preferences section.
- Configure settings such as:
- Default HOS rules — Set the default Hours of Service ruleset for new drivers.
- Distance units — Choose between miles and kilometers.
- Date and time format — Select your preferred format for dates and times.
- Default map view — Configure the initial map center and zoom level for the dashboard.
- Report defaults — Set default date ranges and grouping options for reports.
- Click Save to apply the preferences.
Tip: Setting sensible company-wide defaults saves time for every fleet manager on your team. Individual users can still override some preferences in their own user settings.
