Tracking Repairs

RouteMate lets you report and track maintenance repairs for your vehicle and trailer. Whether it is a tire issue, a brake problem, or a scheduled service item, you can log it in the app so your fleet manager stays informed and repairs get handled promptly.

  1. Open the Menu by tapping the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Maintenance.
  3. You will see two tabs at the top to switch between asset types: Vehicle and Trailer.

The Maintenance screen lists all current and recent repairs for the selected asset. Each repair entry shows:

  • Repair Type — the category of the repair (e.g., brakes, tires, engine).
  • Status — the current state of the repair (e.g., open, in progress, completed).
  • Created Date — when the repair was first reported.
  • Due Date — the deadline for completing the repair.
  • Assignee — the person or shop responsible for the repair.
  • Notes — any additional details or comments about the repair.

Tap on any repair to see its full details.

Tip: Check this screen regularly to stay up to date on the status of any repairs you have reported. Your fleet manager may update the status or add notes as work progresses.

To report a new maintenance issue:

  1. Make sure you are on the correct tab — Vehicle or Trailer — depending on which asset needs the repair.
  2. Tap the Add button.
  3. Choose the repair type from the list of available categories.
  4. Select the repair subtype to provide more specific detail about the issue.
  5. Take a photo of the problem area. This is required so your fleet manager and the repair team can see the issue.
  6. Add notes describing the problem in your own words. Include anything that might help the repair team understand what is going on (unusual sounds, when the issue started, how it affects driving, etc.).
  7. Tap Submit to send the repair request.

Note: A photo is required for every new repair submission. Make sure the photo clearly shows the defect or area of concern.
