Vehicle Telemetry (ELD Info)
RouteMate can show you real-time data from your ELD device, giving you a quick look at key vehicle metrics right from the app.
Accessing ELD Info
Section titled “Accessing ELD Info”- Open the Menu by tapping the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Tap ELD Info.
- The telemetry screen will display your current vehicle data.
What Data Is Displayed?
Section titled “What Data Is Displayed?”When your ELD is connected, the following information is shown in real time:
Your current vehicle speed displayed in miles per hour (mph). This updates continuously as you drive.
Odometer
Section titled “Odometer”The current mileage reading from your vehicle’s odometer, as reported by the ELD.
Engine Hours
Section titled “Engine Hours”The total engine runtime for your vehicle. This is a cumulative count of how many hours the engine has been running.
Latitude and Longitude
Section titled “Latitude and Longitude”Your current GPS coordinates, showing your exact geographic position. This is the same location data that gets recorded on your daily logs.
When You Are Not Connected
Section titled “When You Are Not Connected”If your device is not connected to an ELD, the screen will display “No data” for each field. This is normal — the app needs an active Bluetooth connection to the ELD device to receive vehicle telemetry.
Once you connect (or reconnect) to the ELD, the data will start updating automatically.
Tip: If you expect to see live data but the screen shows “No data,” check your ELD connection. Make sure Bluetooth is on and the ELD device is powered. See Connecting to Your ELD for help.
Live Updates
Section titled “Live Updates”The telemetry values update in real time while the ELD is connected. You do not need to refresh the screen — the numbers change automatically as new data comes in from the device.
Note: The data shown on this screen comes directly from the ELD device and your vehicle’s diagnostic port. If any value looks incorrect, it may indicate a problem with the ELD connection or the vehicle’s onboard systems. Let your fleet manager know if something seems off.
