Viewing Your Daily Logs
Your daily logs are a complete record of your duty statuses throughout each day. RouteMate keeps track of every status change so you always have an accurate history of your hours of service.
Accessing Your Logs
Section titled “Accessing Your Logs”- Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select Logs from the menu list.
- You will see a list of log cards, one for each day.
Each log card gives you a quick snapshot of that day, including the date, your total hours in each duty status, and whether the log has been certified.
Understanding the Log Card List
Section titled “Understanding the Log Card List”The log card list shows your most recent days at the top. Each card displays:
- Date of the log
- Summary of hours spent in each duty status (Off Duty, Sleeper Berth, Driving, On Duty)
- Certification status — whether the log is unsigned, certified, or has pending edits
Tap any log card to open the full details for that day.
Log Details View
Section titled “Log Details View”When you open a daily log, you will see two main elements at the top:
Log Painter Graph
Section titled “Log Painter Graph”The log painter is a 24-hour timeline visualization that runs across the screen. It shows colored bars representing your duty statuses throughout the day. At a glance, you can see exactly when you were driving, on duty, in the sleeper berth, or off duty.
Date Ribbon
Section titled “Date Ribbon”Just above or below the graph, you will find a date ribbon that lets you swipe left or right to navigate between days. This makes it easy to review several days in a row without going back to the log list.
Events and Other Information Tabs
Section titled “Events and Other Information Tabs”Below the log painter graph, your log details are organized into two tabs:
Events Tab
Section titled “Events Tab”This tab lists every duty status change and related event for the day in chronological order. Each entry shows:
- The duty status (e.g., Driving, Off Duty)
- The time the status began
- The duration
- Your location at the time
Other Information Tab
Section titled “Other Information Tab”This tab displays additional details about the day, such as:
- Vehicle and trailer information
- Shipping document numbers
- Carrier and home terminal details
- Co-driver information (if applicable)
Log Status Indicators
Section titled “Log Status Indicators”Your logs will show one of several status indicators:
- Unsigned — The log has not been certified yet. You should review and certify it as soon as possible.
- Certified — You have signed the log, confirming it is accurate.
- Pending Edits — Your fleet manager has proposed changes to this log. You need to review and either accept or reject those edits.
Note: A small badge or icon will appear on the log card when there are pending edits waiting for your review. Be sure to check these promptly so your records stay up to date.
Viewing Current Violations
Section titled “Viewing Current Violations”If there are any hours-of-service violations on a given day, they will be displayed prominently in the log details. Violations may include things like exceeding your driving limit or not taking a required break.
Tip: Review your violations carefully. If a violation was caused by a logging error (for example, you forgot to switch to Off Duty), you can edit the log entry to correct it. See Editing Log Entries for instructions.
