Managing Assets

Add, edit, and manage your fleet’s assets such as trailers and equipment to keep track of all your tracked units.

Note: Managing assets requires the Fleet Admin role. If you do not see the options described below, contact your account administrator to verify your permissions.

To see all assets in your fleet:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Assets from the main menu.
  2. The asset list shows each asset’s name or number, type, status, and assigned group.
  3. Use the search bar to find a specific asset by name or identifier.
  4. Use the filters to narrow the list by status or group.

Assets typically include trailers, containers, chassis, generators, and other equipment that you want to track with GPS devices.

Tip: Click on any asset to open its full profile, including GPS device information, location history, and group assignment.

To add an asset to your fleet:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Assets.
  2. Click the Add Asset button.
  3. Fill in the required information:
    • Asset Name or Number — A unique identifier you use internally (for example, “Trailer 201” or “Reefer 45”).
    • Asset Type — Select the type of asset (for example, trailer, container, chassis).
    • License Plate — If applicable, the asset’s license plate number.
    • Year, Make, and Model — If applicable, the asset’s specifications.
  4. Optionally, add notes or additional details.
  5. Optionally, assign the asset to a group.
  6. Click Save to add the asset.

Tip: Use consistent naming conventions for your assets (for example, “TRL-001”, “TRL-002”) to make searching and filtering easier.

To update an asset’s information:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Assets.
  2. Find the asset and click its name to open the profile.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Update the fields you need to change.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Groups help you organize your fleet by terminal, region, or team. To assign an asset to a group:

  1. Open the asset’s profile.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. In the Group field, select the group you want to assign the asset to.
  4. Click Save.

You can also manage group assignments in bulk from the Admin > Groups page.

Tip: Assigning assets to groups lets you filter the map, reports, and dashboards to see only the assets relevant to a particular terminal or region.
