Downloading the App

Before you can start logging your hours and managing your trips, you need to download the RouteMate app to your phone or tablet. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

  1. Open the App Store on your device.
  2. Tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Type “RouteMate” in the search bar and tap Search.
  4. Find the RouteMate app in the results (look for the RouteMate logo).
  5. Tap Get, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
  6. Wait for the app to download and install. The RouteMate icon will appear on your home screen when it is ready.
  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.
  2. Tap the Search bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Type “RouteMate” and tap the search icon.
  4. Find the RouteMate app in the results (look for the RouteMate logo).
  5. Tap Install.
  6. Wait for the app to download and install. The RouteMate icon will appear in your app drawer or home screen when it is ready.

Tip: If you have trouble finding the app, ask your fleet manager or dispatcher for a direct download link. They may also have instructions specific to your company.

To run the RouteMate app, your device must meet the following minimum requirements:

You will also need:

  • Bluetooth — Required for connecting to your ELD device.
  • Location Services — Required for accurate log entries and GPS tracking.
  • Internet connection — Needed for initial setup, syncing data, and receiving updates. The app works offline after setup, but you will need internet periodically to sync.

Note: Make sure your device has enough storage space for the app. We recommend at least 200 MB of free space.

The RouteMate app is regularly updated with new features, improvements, and compliance changes. To make sure you always have the latest version:

  • iOS: Open the App Store, tap your profile icon, and scroll down to see available updates.
  • Android: Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then tap “Manage apps & device” to check for updates.

Tip: Turn on automatic updates so you never miss an important update. Your fleet manager may require you to be on the latest version.
